All Hell Breaks Loose The Engineering Way!!

Hi Everyone, In my yester-years of engineering, I got to study various Laws that govern our physical world. While the rote learning took a toll and helped me clear my exams; I always wished if at all there was an interesting way to answer or depict any law that, I have studied. This article is dedicated to one such piece of work that, I came across which sort of quenches my thirst to find the quality and not the quantity. Please do read and leave a comment behind. Dr. Schambaugh, of the University of Oklahoma School of Chemical Engineering, Final Exam question for May of 1997. Dr. Schambaugh is known for asking questions such as, "Why do airplanes fly?" on his final exams. His one and only final exam question in May 1997 for his Momentum, Heat and Mass Transfer II class was: "Is hell exothermic or endothermic? Support your answer with proof." The following is an actual question given. The answer was so "profound" that the Professor shared it ...

Dilbert's Salary Theorem

I always wondered how people actually got exorbitant amount of salary. Not that they are not deserving but whenever asked upon they just say "Work goes around like it should go we don't do anything" well after much of my thinking I finally met Dilbert and he explained me something. I am sharing the Golden Nugget of Wisdom with you. Read It carefully and Do leave a Comment Behind.  :D Dilbert’s “Salary Theorem” states that “Engineers and Scientists can never earn as much as Business Executives, Sales People, Accountants and especially Liberal Arts Majors.” This theorem can now be supported by a mathematical equation based on the following two well known postulates: Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power. Postulate 2: Time is Money. And As Every Engineer Knows: Power = Work / Time. Since: Knowledge = Power, then Knowledge = Work / Time, and Time = Money, then Knowledge = Work / Money. Solving for Money, we get  Money = Work / Knowledge. Thus, as Knowledge appro...
